Sources of Money to Build Wealth

How many boxes could you check right now?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The image lists various sources of money that enable individuals to build wealth.

🔷 Self-Employment - You are your own boss and run a business
🔷 Base Pay - A set salary or hourly rate from your employer
🔷 Bonuses - Additional incentive pay on top of your base pay
🔷 401k Contribution Matching - Money the employer contributes directly to your retirement account
🔷 Company Stock - Additional compensation incentive provided by your employer
🔷 Investment Earnings - Returns on stocks, mutual funds, bonds, ETFs, cryptocurrency, etc.
🔷 Investment Dividends — Stocks of companies that regularly pay shareholders a piece of their earnings. Funds that hold these stocks pay dividends as well.
🔷 Real Estate - This could be either the appreciation of a home, flipping properties, or receiving rent from them.
🔷 Side Hustle - Earning money from an additional job(s). You may be working independently or working for another employer.

Different people have different sources based on their decisions, circumstances and preferences. Some use all of the contributors above to build their wealth. At this point in my life, I check them all, but I won’t forever.
I do believe that diversifying your sources is a good approach to take. It can provide more financial security and lessen the pressure if one of them disappears.

Did I miss any other sources of money? I guess I could have listed a trust fund or inheritance! Personally, I would NOT be able to check THAT box!
