The Venture Card: Why I Use It!

When not meeting minimum spend for a new card, I use the Capital One Venture more than any other card in my wallet!

More card info and my affiliate link are on my IG profile page!

Here are a few personal examples of what I use the Venture card for: car services, clothing stores, home goods, furniture, school lunch account, kids’ activities, medical bills, insurance premiums, car registration. The Venture card earns 2 points per $1 which translates to 2% back toward travel!

The card comes with a 75k sign-up bonus 🔥, has a $95 annual fee, a $100 credit toward TSA PreCheck or Global Entry.

My absolute favorite thing about this card is that I can use these points for ANYTHING THAT CODES AS TRAVEL. You can charge your travel to the card and then apply the points as a statement credit after the charge posts to your account! SO EASY!

Last year, Marc and I flew Delta but didn’t have enough Delta SkyMiles for free flights, so I just charged the flights to my Venture and then “paid myself back” with a statement credit using points!

You can also transfer these points to various airline and hotel loyalty programs as well. I talk extensively about the value I’ve received by transferring these points to Wyndham Rewards and then booking a Vacasa stay with them!

Finally, you can book travel with points though the Capital One travel portal. The point redemption options are fantastic!

HOT TIP: I know others who specifically get this card to cover the cost of their Disney park tickets by buying the tickets through undercovertourist.com. This particular website/company codes Disney tickets as TRAVEL!!
